Who we are
The Bus Doctor is a trading name of Buses Unlimited Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 14400377. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us at ian@thebusdoctor.co.uk.
What we collect
When you use our enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, and message, and, if you choose to give them, your organisation and telephone number. If you email us, we receive the information in your email.
Why we use it
We use your information only to reply to your enquiry, to arrange a call, and, if you ask us to, to prepare a proposal. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and, where you ask us to quote for work, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone except as described below.
Who else handles it
Our website and enquiry form are hosted by Netlify, which receives and stores form submissions on our behalf and forwards them to us by email. Netlify may process information outside the United Kingdom under the safeguards in its data processing terms. Our email provider stores the messages we receive.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless the enquiry leads to work, in which case we keep it with the records of that work for as long as the law requires.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies or tracking.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to have it transferred. To use any of these rights, email ian@thebusdoctor.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please tell us first. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
